Rodrick

Hi, I’m Rodrick.

I founded Frankson after a decade of working in content development, video production, creative strategy, business operations, and marketing.

My vision with Frankson is to help mission-driven brands express their human side, harmonizing story, education, and entertainment in dynamic visual content marketing campaigns.

During my career I’ve had the privilege to partner with brands such as Coachella, Amazon, Yelp, AEG, Vice, Vox, Nasdaq, and Capitol Records.

A veteran creative leader for Coachella, I direct content teams for Goldenvoice, contributing assets to campaigns that have amassed hundreds of millions of views, impressions, and engagements worldwide. My team's expertise in live content production has been forged by working with some of the world's largest festivals.

Before venturing into content, I was deeply involved in the health and wellness space. I earned a Master’s in Acupuncture, sold supplements at the original Erewhon, and served as the Director of Operations and Marketing at Earthbar. This background has nurtured my comprehensive understanding of the CPG, supplements, and wellness industries.

The name Frankson comes from a family business started by my great-grandfather in the 1940s, Frankson Lumber Co. His name was Frank, and his business partner was his son, my grandfather Herman. Hence, Frankson.

Frank left school out of necessity at age 12 to start his first business so he could help support his family, and continued to found and operate multiple successful businesses throughout his life.

When Herman returned from the Army after WWII, Frankson became the cornerstone family business, supplying lumber, cement, limestone, sand, and other building materials out of their lumber yard in Brooklyn, NY.

My dad’s first job as a teenager was at Frankson, where his work ethic was developed.

My work at Frankson today is inspired by Frank’s legacy of hard work, entrepreneurial spirit, and having real people as the faces of their brand.

I love connecting with business leaders that embody passion and purpose, and have an underlying integrity and reason for doing what they do beyond the bottom line. If that’s you, let’s chat.
